Saturday Morning Post

Christmas Eve '16

By Abbiefrrl

Greetings, and Ho, ho, ho!

I hope that this finds you warm and fed, content and peaceful. By the time this post goes up on the site, I'll probably be sleeping...I'd not mind sleeping right now, but in recovery I've been learning about integrity. When I say I'll do something I do my best to do it.

As our family traditionally does, several of the presents will be arriving late. That's due to the lack of time management skills, I suspect. But that's ok. I do my best not to sweat the small stuff, today.

I'm so blessed today.

I am grateful for the ability to stay in the NOW, for the most part.

Grateful for being able to look for the good and most of the time, see it.

More than anything else, though, I'm grateful for the love demonstrated when God sent His son down to give us a way to return to Him. I know Jesus wasn't born on December 25th. I don't particularly care when He was born. I care that He was. And that He lives today. I've never imagined the kind of love that God has showered upon us.
