Letting others see in, so we can see out.

We are Recovering alcoholics and addicts, and these are mini-chapters of our lives. Here, we are learning to live a life of choice; we're learning to live Drunkless.

We'll share in our writings, in our podcasts, in our photos, art, and music -- our creativity will show who we are, what we're going through, and how we make it -- 24 hours at a time.

An Update for Tami!

By: DL

Wall-to-wall stage.  The audience was smack-dab in the middle of the action! So much fun!

In case you've been wondering where the beautiful, wonderful Tami has gone, let me assure you, she's still around!

I meant to update everyone last week, but I have just been so busy myself.  No more excuses! I decided it was unfair to leave her fans wondering where she's been -- so I'm gonna let you know!

Tami has been very hard at work these days.  She was studying for a play and has since  been acting in it.  I had the pleasure of watching her on opening night!  What a great character she portrayed! She did so awesome!  I'm so proud of her!  This is one of the items in her bucket list, and one that she was terrified to do, but she did it!  She's so awesome!  She spent a LOT of time with Adrienne and family members working on memorizing the lines, and if any were forgotten or misplaced, no one but the actors would have known!

I'll post some of the images of the play down below.  It was so fun watching her with two of her boys!  I would have gone every night except that I had to tend to Drunkless.

On a slightly more somber note, she's also facing the anniversary of her father's passing, and will be spending the upcoming weekend in memory of him, with her daughter.  If you happen to be thinking of her at some point, maybe send out a prayer and good vibes for her and the family.  They're wonderful people with beautiful hearts and souls that are as full of perfect-imperfections as any of us. Pray for their safe travels to and fro and that nothing more than healing comes from the traveling venture they'll be going on.  My heart certainly reaches out to her and the kids.

I want everyone  to know that Tami has been thinking of all of you, and when she found out I was going to update everyone, she was very pleased to know that none of you are being neglected... well, not now anyway.  Sorry 'bout not getting to you guys last week.  I won't make excuses, I should have been more on the ball and I wasn't.  My apologies.  But she's been concerned that all of you know that she's doing well and is still as sober as can be!  Exhausted and tired, but still sober.  God bless that wonderful lady.  She's pretty damn amazing, my friends.

With that, below are a few pics that I have of Tami in her play.  I wish all of you could have seen her -- she was like a Broadway star!  It was beautiful! :)  I had some video, but it was really crappy quality, so I opted for the pictures that turned out okay.

Drunkless does not intended to diagnose, treat, or resolve any alcoholic or addiction condition in any way, shape or form.  Drunkless deals primarily with chemical addictions and aims to share the experience, strength, and hope of our bloggers, podcasters, and associated guests and visitors.  Though we recognize and realize that there are many forms of addiction and mental disorders, we are not experienced nor educated in ways where we can advise or give feedback on many of them.  As such, it is up to our visitors to discern the differences and to take appropriate action to seek help for themselves or loved ones.  However, we do hope to provide a glimpse into the correlation between some of them and hopefully allow someone a "one-up" on getting help before it becomes life threatening -- after all, that is our goal -- to provide hope where we can, and possibly save a life.

The authors, podcasters, artists, creativists, and other "hosts" on this site do it therapeutically, educationally, inspirationally, and to share their experience, strength and hope, as well as for entertainment... After all, we are not a glum lot.
