Life can be full of inspirations, lessons, and "ah-ha" moments. The question really is -- where can we find them? From quotes to personal stories to lessons based on fact and/or experience, we can be inspired to do many great things. Trust your instinct -- it could be the only inspiration you'll really need.

Just like we need to remember the fallen heroes of our country, we need to remember the fallen men, women, and children who succumbed to the ultimate end of our disease – DEATH. We owe it to them to carry a message of hope and Recovery – to show others that we CAN overcome addiction...
If you are in Recovery and attend 12 step fellowships (no those are not a requirement for living a clean and sober lifestyle) you hear them say, “Give us a year and at the end of that year if you’re not happy we will gladly refund your misery.”
I may have asked for an apple, but instead, the seed became a carrot, or perhaps an oak tree or an aloe vera plant ... food to feed, wood to build, plants to heal, etc.
...sometimes, I just don't want to do the dishes, wash the clothes, mow the lawn, or go to the meeting ... other times, it's more difficult than that...
There have been so many times in my recovery when I was totally caught up in my emotions that I just couldn’t see anything else in the world.
Being that I made it through to the other side I was perfectly positioned to be helpful and due to my experience I was able to ease her suffering.
It is like when I first got sober and finally realized that I had a problem ... but I wasn’t yet ready to see the truth.
Stop talking about it, get your gear on, and pick up that shovel; the manure is getting deep.
